Description: This is the story of the Buddha’s previous life as a Bodhisattva. This is one of story of Hungry
Tigress.
Once there was a great king named Maharatha and he had three sons were Mahapranada, Mahadeva and Mahasattva. One day, they were walked for hunting in the jungle and they came upon a tigress in hunting time. The the tigress was not able to move because of her hungry. Let, she was going to die soon. Youngest brother of the princes, Mahasattva was moved to great compassion seeing her condition. He decided to stay with her and he asked his brother to leave him a while. But his brother was not agreed with his decision. So after a beyond, he came back to hungress tigress with deceiving to his brother.The tigress was not able to stand because of her much hunger even though the prince Mahasattva was laid himself down in front of the tigress. Then he decided to give her his part of body himself cutting by his own weapon. And he started to give his body. After consumed his part of body, the tigress got energy and she consumed his whole body. In this way, the prince Mahasattva  took devotion  by sacrificing his whole body to tigerss and he became famous by name of Namobuddha. In the place, it is still having a stupa with skeletor of the prince. People are use to worship him for appreciating by his sacrifice.
