Description: Amsuvarma, the first Thakuri king, came to power in 602 B. S., succeeding his Licchavi father-in-law Shiva Dev.The great fame of Amsuvarma in Nepali traditions and foreign accounts is definitely the product of his great achievements. Amsuvarma was not only a great military hero who rose to power mainly with his powers, but was also a great administrator, statesman and diplomat who consolidated his kingdom much before his succession to the throne. He expanded trade, arts, agriculture and veterinary in his reign. He was a cleaver and great politician too. In his reign, people got ritual democratic and separate state. He just made friendship with the king of Tibet tshongchen Gompo to make strong his state because of standing a powerful state by Tibet king in that time. Nepal signed a commercial treaty with Tibet.  That is why; trade was most expanded in his reign. And to make improve more, he just did wed to his daughter Vhrikuti with Tibet king tshongchen Gompo. So that his state become always secure.  The Vhrikuti was known as a Green Tara too
